Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!  Wild animals and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds! Praise the Lord!  -Psalm 148: 9-10, 14b

One of my favorite hymns talks about the trees of the field clapping their hands!  The Psalmist’s praise is wide as his/her imagination as mountains, hills, and trees join the animals, bugs and birds in praise to God!

We are well reminded that we exist in relationship with all that God has created.  That the trees and plants offer us oxygen for our air.  The earth yields food.  The animals and even the bugs join in Creation’s song.

So, how about it, people of God?  Can we, as human beings join with all of Creation in a song of praise?
